Hello Creative Souls 💛
Yesterday afternoon, I spent some time scrolling through my website which I created two years ago and thought to myself, wow I’ve changed so much, as a person on a spiritual level and also as an artist and the way I create art. I started updating the pages and realised that thanks to the artist community I have followed here, on Skillshare and YouTube, I have completely changed my approach to art and in changing that approach, I have changed the materials I use and how and where I paint.
For as long as I can remember, drawing and painting have been an inseparable part of my life. Art has always been a comforting companion, but it wasn’t until a couple of years ago that my creative journey truly began to flourish. Inspired by the works of other artists, I decided to start keeping a sketchbook—a simple change that unlocked endless possibilities.
Initially, I was devoted to watercolours, captivated by their fluidity and delicate charm, but as I filled the pages of my sketchbook, I discovered the joy of experimenting with a whole array of art materials. This playful exploration allowed me to evolve, and I now proudly call myself a mixed media artist. My art has branched out into experimenting with landscapes and abstract pieces, each creation a testament to the freedom and growth that comes from fearless experimentation.

Nearly two years ago, driven by a desire to connect and inspire, I took a brave step—I launched my own art channel on YouTube. This was not just a milestone in my artistic journey but also a significant leap in my personal growth. Every week, I pour my heart into creating free content that I hope brings inspiration and a touch of joy to others navigating today’s complex world.
My creative adventure didn’t stop there, alongside my YouTube channel, I ventured into building my own website and began writing blogs, both there and here on Substack. Sharing my experiences, insights, and artistic processes has been incredibly fulfilling, and I’m deeply grateful for everyone who’s joined me on this path.
If you haven’t already, I’d be thrilled if you could support my YouTube channel by subscribing. Your encouragement helps me continue to grow and reach more art enthusiasts around the globe.
Join me this evening (11th May 7pm GMT) for a special Sunday sketchbook play session, where I’ll be going live to play with some new art materials and create an abstract piece. As a token of my appreciation, I’ll be giving away this artwork to one lucky subscriber. Let’s connect, create, and celebrate the beautiful journey of art together.
Thank you for being part of my story.
Stay naturally curious,
Clare
