This summer I wrote a ‘summer bucket list’, you’ve guessed it, on my list was painting outside, whether it’s in the garden, out on location or on holiday. I’ve never experienced painting ‘En Plein Air’ before so after checking out some artists on YouTube I started to collect my kit. I recorded my own YouTube video to share with you what I have decided to pack. I am sure I will change and adapt my items as I start to experience painting outside.
If you want to check out my YouTube channel I will leave you the link. You’ll find other videos I have made. I like to share with you what inspires my art and hopefully in the process inspire you to get outside to see the beauty that surrounds us everyday. I share with you my garden, my walks with Audrey and my time on the beach. Just 5 minutes of relaxation where I encourage you to take some time out to get cosy, grab a cup of tea and take a look at what I’ve been up to in my week.
We are all creatives, that’s what makes us human, so this summer I hope you feel inspired to get outside and get creative and remember if you want to create art outside then all you actually need is a pen or a pencil and a piece of paper, you just need to show up, observe and have fun.
I have listed below some artists that you may like to check out on YouTube for further inspiration.
